Install Melon Sandbox mods on Android

I used the Google Play listing for the version and the community wiki for the two install paths. Play does not publish a mod tutorial. On 29 Oct 2026 the listing's latest update was 38.666 on 28 Oct 2026, titled as the Poppy Playtime update.

Path 1: in-game File Manager

  1. For this item-import path, start with a .melmod from a source you trust. A .melsave is a scene, not an item mod; do not rename it or assume the Mods destination applies. This site does not host files.
  2. Open Melon Sandbox and the in-game File Manager.
  3. Select the file and choose copy to mods.
  4. Look for the item in its Mods category; restart once if it is not visible. For scene files, use the separate save-import option described by your source rather than this copy-to-mods sequence.

Path 2: copy into the Mods folder

The wiki names Android/data/com.Studio27.MelonPlayground/Mods, but the Google Play package is com.studio27.MelonPlayground: the capitalization differs. This page cannot certify the wiki path as a current working destination, so it is not a copy-and-paste instruction. Manual Android/data access is also restricted on newer devices. Prefer Path 1 or Workshop; do not install an app that promises to unlock the directory.

Which Android path should I try first?

The community wiki describes the in-game File Manager: find the downloaded .melmod and choose copy to mods. Prefer that workflow over manually browsing a protected Android/data directory. Availability and picker wording can depend on the device.

What is the manual folder?

The wiki lists Android/data/com.Studio27.MelonPlayground/Mods. Package id on Google Play is com.studio27.MelonPlayground. Folder access depends on the phone. I cannot promise the folder is visible.
