If your counter dropped after the September 2026 multiplayer update, the only public note is the wiki bug report. I do not have a restore button to describe. Updating again will not, by itself, prove the old count comes back.
Questions people ask
How many achievements are there?
The community achievements page says 38 and lists conditions. The page also warns that some names were assigned by editors. There is no store API for the list.
What is Parent Mode?
The community achievement list gives this condition: turn off drop on death, decals, vignette, bloom, and gore. That is an achievement label, not evidence of a publisher-certified child-safe mode. The current menu wording is not established by the reviewed sources.
Did 38.0 erase progress?
The achievements page records players losing progress after 38.0. That is a community bug note, not a publisher acknowledgement.
